With a distinguished legal career spanning decades, Ian Restall is the Managing Partner of Restall & Restall LLP. A graduate of Oxford University, the University of Victoria, and the University of Winnipeg, Ian has earned numerous academic accolades, including the British Columbia Law Society Gold Medal. His legal expertise covers corporate and commercial law, real estate, estate planning, and more. Throughout his career, Ian has been dedicated to providing strategic legal solutions, earning the trust of clients across Manitoba. Beyond his legal practice, Ian has made significant contributions to legal education and community service. He has lectured at the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg, shaping the next generation of legal professionals. His involvement in various professional boards and charitable initiatives underscores his commitment to both the legal field and the broader community. Ian grew up in the Inner-city of the North End of Winnipeg, graduating from St. John’s High School. He then attended the University of Winnipeg, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree, obtaining the Lieutenant-Governor’s Gold Medal for the highest standing in the Arts, as well as the University Gold Medals for Geography and History.Upon his graduation, he attended the University of Victoria Law School, graduating with a First-Class average and obtaining the British Columbia Law Society Gold Medal and prize for the highest standing in the faculty. Subsequent to his Bachelor of Laws, Ian attended the graduate program at the University of Oxford on full scholarship, thereafter obtaining his Graduate Law Degree.
